Bentalls Bridal Gift Service - Description of the Service
It is our aim to provide a Bridal Service which will assist you in the compilation of your wedding list which will offer your friends and relatives a simple and convenient means of making their gift selections, all with the added bonus of free delivery (by arrangement).This process is designed so that you will receive exactly the wedding presents you need, in the colour, style and size, etc. that you want. Whilst the giver will have a choice of gifts which can be purchased within their price range, certain in the knowledge that you will receive exactly the present that you want. The Bentalls bridal gift service is an excellent way to ensure that funds are spent wisely, appropriately and to the satisfaction of all. Please not however, that these pages are not a complete description of the service. We will provide you with complete details once you decide to adopt this excellent service.

Bentalls Bridal Gift Service - List Preparation
| We provide the bride and groom with a
gift selection record book which they can take to each department and to
record the selection of their gifts.
Bentalls will be unable to order, or put aside chosen items at this point. Gifts will be ordered once your friends or relatives select them from your list. It is of course, important to speak to each of our various department heads, to ensure that items you put on your list are not on a long order delay. We are unable to add items to the list which are under special or sale offers as we will be unable to ensure that such items will still be available when the time arrives to choose from your list. Once your list is complete we shall enter the details into our systems and provide you, within two weeks, a computerised copy of the list. To guard against gift duplication, only one list will be issued. You may amend the list of items which remain unchosen, upon receipt of your written confirmation. We will provide you with cards which can be sent to friends and relatives, explaining the Bentalls gift service to them. |
Bentalls Bridal Gift Service - Gift Selection
| Friends and relatives will receive from
the bride and groom a card explaining the system and suggesting that they
approach the Bentalls bridal gift service
department mentioning the name of the bride and groom. A member of
the Bridal staff will ask you approximately how much you wish to
spend. They will then advise you what is available from the list
within that range.
Once you have made your selection and payment has been received, we will deliver the present to the Bride and Groom at a time requested by them. If your selection is not immediately available, an order will be placed with our suppliers and the Bride and Groom will be advised which gift you have selected. You will not be charged until the gift comes into stock and is available for delivery. |

Payment may be made by all the usual
methods, including:-

Bentalls Bridal Gift Service - Delivery
| We deliver the gifts to the bride and broom,
without charge (and in accordance with Bentalls delivery
schedule). We require seven days notice, and if the delivery
is outside our normal Bentalls van delivery zones, we will require a
telephone number so that we can arrange for delivery by postal
services.
We will enclose a delivery list and request that you telephone of of any problems or discrepancies within three days. In the event that a item becomes unavailable, then we will enclose gift vouchers to the same value. Gifts will be appropriately packed for delivery with a gift card attached.
