i)    The principal aim of the Group is to promote equal access for disabled people to:
d)  information particularly relating to ‘a’ to ‘c’ above, in order that disabled people as far as their individual condition allows, have the same freedom of choice of activity open to the rest of the community. 

ii)  The group aims to achieve object (i) by encouraging and advising all persons responsible for places and facilities to improve access to meet the needs of all forms of disability.

 iii)  To liaise and co-operate with other organisations, including Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, other statutory and voluntary agencies and the private sector. 

iv)   To consider the needs of disabled people in the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling, and to examine the facilities available to meet them. 

v)     v)    To promote full public awareness of the abilities of disabled people and to highlight the problems associated with disability and the rights of disabled people to be part of and not apart from society.
