Poult Wood Golf Centre is situated in idyllic, rural woodland, ideal for a relaxing round of golf.  The Centre upholds its reputation for being one of the finest public pay-and-play courses in the South of England.  The superbly maintained 18 and 9 hole courses, four squash courts, meeting room, golf shop and clubhouse bar/restaurant combine to provide a high quality and comprehensive range of facilities.

Golf Courses

If you wish to get away from the hectic pace of working life and relax, then head for Poult Wood. The Centre provides interesting and varied golfing opportunities for beginners and experienced players alike. The two distinctive courses, a separate practice ground, practice nets and a putting area all play a role in the continuing success of the centre.

The 18 hole golf course is set in undulating, tree-covered countryside that provides a tranquil setting for a pleasurable round of golf.

The 9 hole short course, for those with less time, energy or confidence, has proved to be equally interesting and challenging, it is designed and maintained to the same high quality as the 18 hole course.

No membership is required to play at Poult Wood but by becoming a registered user it is possible to book up to six days in advance. Registered users are also eligible to discounts on green fees. (Non-registered users can only book two days in advance).

Golf Professional Services

An additional service on offer at Poult Wood besides the well stocked shop, repairs service and customised (made to measure) club service, is the excellent golf teaching and guidance available from the resident Golf Professional, Chris Miller. Tuition is available to all categories of players, individually or as part of a group. Squash

Poult Wood boasts four squash courts complete with viewing gallery, showers and changing facilities. The squash courts are for public use during the day (9.00am - 10.20pm) seven days a week. No telephone bookings can be taken, but advance bookings for peak times (Monday -Friday 5.00pm - 10.20pm and all day Sunday) can be made on weekday evenings at the Clubhouse. Alternatively tickets are available from the bar during peak hours for unbooked times.

Meeting Room

The centre’s meeting room provides an ideal venue for seminars, workshops and local clubs/associations. Accommodating up to twenty people, the room offers a comfortable environment for social and business functions. To book Tel:- (01732) 366180

Bar /Restaurant

The clubhouse bar/restaurant reflects the same high standards as the sporting facilities on offer at Poult Wood. It is open to the general public and can be enjoyed by everyone. Reasonably priced bar snacks are available in the bar/lounge -and may be enjoyed alfresco on the balcony or terrace when the weather is fine. The restaurant offers a variety of menus and light refreshments throughout the day from 8am. The traditional family Sunday lunch is popular with both players and locals - but be sure to book well in advance.

The clubhouse is an ideal place for business or private parties, and the restaurant manager, will be happy to discuss your specific requirements; anniversaries, buffet dances, company dinners or golf society days are all catered for with various menus available.

The vending area opposite the Golf Shop provides an informal setting for a quick cuppa before or following a game without the need to change out of golf shoes or sporting equipment.
